EXHORTATION – A Christlike Self Perspective: Never disabled, forever unstoppable

Let nothing & no one call you “disabled” (incapable, unable, unworthy, insignificant etc…)

Will you allow others to label you and so define you? Will you accept their definition of you as opposed to God’s ? The negative definition that seeps into not only your conscious mind but also your subconscious, resulting in self limitation, under-valuing your capabilities or even prevents you from seeing what you are capable of!

The state of being “disabled” whether physical or spiritual is a matter of perspective. If you have a life in God, one of your key taglines should be “I am always capable through Christ”. Don’t be like a prisoner
-who has had their chains removed but is still standing in a bound position.
-whose prison doors are open but he cannot see it and is still sitting in the prison. Jesus came to set the captives free (Isaiah 61).

When in Christ, there is nothing you cannot achieve in life, regardless of your

✝️physical state, Nick Vujicic is an example, he said
“I don’t believe I am disabled. Yes, I may have no limbs, but no big deal. It doesn’t matter how I look—
it’s WHO I AM and WHAT I CAN DO that matters!”
(in picture below) check out his life story and achievements to the glory of God.

✝️youth: David who became king of Israel was a youth when God started to use him. By God’s power and might he was able to fight against the lion and the bear while tending to his sheep in the wilderness.
He developed the “I can” self perspective that was from God, so that the giant enemy of Israel, Goliath feared by adults of the army of Israel was “chicken feed” in his eyes.
God brought David up to believe he could do all things through God who strengthened him. This ought to minister to us as to how to bring up children or young people. The perspective of one’s self is so important and will determine the course of one’s life.
In our day, God is using young people mighty as it was prophesied by the prophet Joel (Joel 2:25).

✝️little or no education: God gives wisdom and ability to excel for His sake and there are many cases of men and women of God who have not had the privilege of being educated at all or have very elementary education, who are doing exploits for God while demonstrating His wisdom and anointing as they do so.

Let us always see ourselves as children of God who can do all things through Him and Him alone.
Jesus said
“5I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.”(John 15:5-6 KJV)

It is time for us to discard limiting self-perspectives and live in the reality of Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Call to Prayer: Arise!

(PROPHETIC WORD POEM OF INSPIRATION TO THE CHRISTIAN )

img_3208

The mantel of prayer
is a gift to you, disciple of Christ,
not to a specific priest so accept it
as a sword to wield in the battle field.

Firebrand!

Let the flames of prayer be released
from within to set alight Satan’s plans
and to ignite the Word of truth in God’s sons.
Watchman!

Look to see and hear the LORD.
Sound the alarm at the enemy’s advance
upon man and with the armies of God
shoot the arrow at the hordes of hell as
a protector and defender of man.
Warrior!

As an impenetrable wall,
the LORD entreats that your prayer rain is released to fall
as fire and brimstone for the retreat of the armies of hell,
for He says
“The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy.

I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.”(1)

Intercessor!

Forever seated in heavenly places
and in oneness with Spirit and Royal High Priest,
be a bridge for the crossing over into God’s turf,
a mother to carry the vision unto birth and
a midwife, for the bringing forth of God’s plans.

Arise!

Firebrand,

Watchman,

Warrior,

Intercessor,

stand in unity on the Rock of Salvation,
your Foundation Stone who is Christ,
the Chief Cornerstone. ©2016 Deborah E. Nyamekye
Quote (1) John 10:10WEB

Note: The bible is full of phrases about God’s promises to God’s children. Believers in Christ are declared overcomers from every power of evil against our lives and guaranteed restoration and healing from afflictions. However we must also remember that we have a calling to be God’s vessels or witnesses through Christ Jesus.

Manifestation of promises and blessings of God are conditional to our obedience which is demonstrated through our yieldedness to God in all areas of our lives. Prayer is communicating with God and when we pray it means we are saying “LORD, I accept you as controller of my life and therefore present to you every area of my life as well as my loved ones and the world at large. What concerns you concerns me and therefore I present every issue before you trusting you will outwork it for your good and to the glory of your name” You must also realise that God wants you to be part of the solution to some of your prayer requests as He plans to use believers in Christ for the fulfilment of His plans on earth. Are you available?

This poem is part of a collection of poems in my books – Our God Reigns: Inspirational Prophetic Christian Poetry Part 1 & 2 available on Kindle at Amazon.com in early January they will be available in Paperback.

Created Unique & for His Purposes

img_3190My mother tried to abort me, but did not succeed, people have rejected and wounded me but I am still standing. Praise be unto God who has painstakingly revealed to me that He loves me with an everlasting love, saved my life, created  me unique and for His glorious purposes. What ever your story, sovereign God forknew it and allowed it as He sets the course of your life. He intends to get the ultimate glory out of every situation in your life. Do you let Him?

Created Unique & for His Purposes:

No one is an accident, if you have been told that you were unplanned as a child and so were conceived by accident or you came into this world as a result of rape, I have a message for you: how you came into this world does not determine your worth or significance.

While your mother and father, or one parent voiced any of the afore mentioned reasons why you are on earth to you, that was their opinion based on the facts that actually happened and if you are still suffering the effects of being told such details of how you came into being, may our God of compassion heal you completely in Jesus’ name.

I was born out of wedlock and my mother attempted to abort me. She told me in the 1980s “your dad said we were just playing, but despite several attempts to abort you, you just would not die and a nurse advised me to stop doing so. I listened to her” She did not choose to tell me, my sibling told me about her attempt to abort me and when I questioned her she confirmed it and gave me further details. Indeed I am very much alive, while I have been through much rejection and afflictions, I have along the way gone through recurring healing and deliverance and also chosen to forgive my parents. This is because God has imparted revelation and understanding that He saved me from being aborted, from eternal damnation and is in absolute control of every aspect of my life. He had predestined plans for me; in time I came to know what these plans were and I am now living in the fullness of most of them. To God be the glory, great things He has done!

Our sovereign God who is all knowing, all seeing and all powerful foreknew how you would come into this world. Man has free will, but God is the creator of the following process as all things: conception, fetus formation and the gestation period until birth. He formed you in your mother’s womb and knew what you would look like.
God gave you your unique finger prints, DNA, iris and palm prints among other biometrics.

“13For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. 14I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvellous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.15My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, [and] curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.16Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all [my members] were written, [which] in continuance were fashioned, when [as yet there was] none of them.” (Ps. 139:13-16 KJV)

God chose who your parents would be and where you would live (Acts 17:26)

If you have been wounded by your parents because of the way they have treated you or the words they have said, forgive them and if they are still alive let them know they are forgiven and reach out to them with the love of the LORD. Whatever they put you through, they were chosen by God to be your parents and you are required by God to honour them.

What a privilege and joy to know that as Christians our destiny was outworked such that at some stage in our lives we became children of God. Just think our names were written in the Lamb’s book of life before the foundation of the world. So if someone tells you that you were unplanned, an accident or even attempts to make you feel insignificant because you do not in their opinion conform to the norm (again in their opinion, not God’s as regards what the norm is!) be reminded that not only were you created by the one and only Master Creator, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, you were chosen even before your parents met and conceived you as one of those who would know God and serve Him through Christ.
“16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you” (John 15:16 KJV).

Our unique destiny path results in us meeting others in the family of God who have also come from their unique backgrounds and journey.

The Apostle Paul (1 Corinth. 12:12-26) used the following analogy : As each human part is necessary for the function of the human body as a whole so too each member of the Body of Christ is needed for the function of the whole. The different parts of the human body are unique, an eye does not look like or function as the ear, nor the foot as the arm but they are nevertheless necessary and important parts of the human body. Likewise in the Body of Christ we do not look alike naturally nor have the same giftings and callings because we are unique natural and spiritual individuals but each of us are necessary and important parts of the body of Christ.

When we are new believers in Christ, there is a new destiny path as a member of the kingdom of God which again as our pathway before is unique or unlike that of anyone else. It is only when we stay close to God, in obedience to His word and in total surrender to Him that we are able to fulfill our destinies as children of God.

Brethren let us maintain a life of reverential fear of the Lord and engage in spiritual check ups periodically along our journey as purposeful individuals for God.
If we reach the stage in our Christian lives when we start thinking we are too strong in the LORD  to fall into temptation or to be deceived then we are in trouble because pride has taken root.
“Pride [goeth] before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” (Prov. 16:18 KJV)

God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6)

In our spiritual check up, we humbly pray as David did

“23Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:24And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24 KJV)
“12…cleanse thou me from secret [faults].13Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.14Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” (Psalm 19:12-14 KJV).

Not long before Jesus died he prepares his disciples for his departure with comforting and uplifting words. What he says in the first couple of verses of John 14 which has often been missed confirms that we are individually regarded as unique in God’s eyes.
Meaning? Well you and I have our own mansions built for us because Jesus said “in my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2 KJV)

While we are with other believers in Christ a collective redeemed people of God destined to worship Him day and night in heaven, we are individually heirs with Christ and therefore kings and priests unto God (Rev 1:6/5:10). The preparation of Christ following his ascension is so that we would be received by Him at the end of the age as kings and priests unto God befitting our individual restful mansions. This is as opposed to masses of God’s people abiding in what looks like dormitories. It is a literal fact as Jesus interjected “…if it were not so, I would have told you…” (John 14:2 KJV).

It is also very exciting and the ultimate assurance we need that even while undergoing a unique and purposeful life on earth designed to glorify God, awaiting every true child of God is a welcome by Him which honors them. Someone might say “is it necessary?! The fact that we are with Him in itself is all that matters”.

My brothers and sisters, we serve a God who loves not only to tell us He loves us but also to show His appreciation for our purposeful lives in His regard by rewarding us in unique ways. Jesus emphasised the truth of what he was saying by adding “if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you into myself; that where I am, there ye may be also”. (John 14:3 KJV)

Yes, our Lord Jesus will come back to us and take us where he is and while we know our spiritual position while on earth is as ones raises up with Christ and seated in the heavenly realms with God in Christ (Eph 2:6), we are assured that we will be there with him physically. So let us rejoice, eagerly awaiting that day. Praise the LORD!

You are blessed, determine to stay blessed.

Created in God’s Image? You Can & Will Do Exploits!

img_3071

Believers in Jesus Christ “…have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. (Col. 3:10-11 NTL)

Those who do great and mighty things for God are witnesses to God’s greatness and might. They are those who He is pleased with and has therefore decided to bestow on them all that is necessary for them to reflect HIS IMAGE; who human beings were created to be – the image of God. We all have the potential to do great and mighty things for God. However the degree of surrender to God for the manifestation of His greatness and might through us varies from person to person.

Whether one lives in a mansion in a rich city or a mud hut in a poor village makes no difference, God is impartial in terms of giving gifts and callings. All God desires is for people, regardless of nationality, race, social and economic status, to not only be saved but to partner with Him so as to be used by Him.

While reading John G Lake’s book “Adventures in God” I read the following account “Edward Lion was a native man who, until a few years ago, didn’t even wear clothes. He was illiterate and knew nothing whatever of our conception of scholarship. But God anointed that man with the faith of God and a measure of the Holy Ghost so intense that on one occasion when a multitude of sick folk had been brought into a valley, the power of God came upon him and he went upon the mountainside, stretched out his hands over the sick below, and poured out his heart to God. In a minute, hundreds were healed.”

The great commission to preach, disciple and baptise in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:18-20) is offered to every believer in Christ impartially as well as the promise to do even greater works than Jesus did.

Let us not look at others and think “I can never be like that in terms of zealousness for the gospel or the ministry”. If anyone appears to be genuinely advanced in godliness in a way that merits admiration it means they have had a journey of intimacy with God which in most cases has not been an easy one, but because they have resolved to walk closely with God regardless of the difficulties, they have overcomer every obstacle and excelled time and time again.

One of such admirable people of God is Daniel, he is among those with “clean hands and a pure heart (Psalm 24:3-4) and knew their God and as a result they were strong and able to do exploits for Him (Daniel 11:32).

You and I are capable of ascending the “Holy Hill” (Psalm 15:1) of the LORD as those we admire in this present time, in past history including biblical times.

Brethren, scripture states that
“The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” and also that God’s love and presence in our lives is conditional to our obedience to Christ’s commands (John 14:21,23).

Therefore let us determine to live for God through Christ wholeheartedly regardless of circumstances so that His searchlight will always rest permanently upon us guiding us into greater heights and deeper depths in Him, bringing multitudes with us in the process.

Poem of inspirational & prophetic counsel: The Only Opinion that Matters

Introductory discourse:

Whose opinion really matters ? God’s or those of other people? Sadly not everyone treats others with the respect every human being merits. Some will choose to respect or treat others nicely, kindly or respectfully only based on what appeals to them in terms of the person’s economic/social status, culture, religion, nationality or race. This is the fallen ungodly nature still raging within. Let us examine our hearts and if we have this tendency to repent and ask God for forgiveness and cleansing. It is not too late to start afresh and change our ways.

We must always remember that who we are or our worth is not based on how people, society or the “status quo” defines us, but rather on who God Almighty defines us according to His Word. Can I get an Amen?!

Poem: This prophetic poem is intended to remind us, give us some uplifting and inspiration as we interact with one another:

The Only Opinion that Matters

If people complain “my you look so plain” or don’t like you ’cause of your hair and barely there or no make up flair
or whatever the superficial reason,
ask yourself “Whose opinion of me shall I put on the shelf,
the Most High’s or those who elevate self and denigrate other people’s worth?”
The Word of God never on the shelf
but in your heart is rich with God’s opinion to impart.

Christ did not entrust himself to man ’cause he knew what was in their hearts. Entrust yourself to God who declares all men equal,
as a creature in His image your unique outer and inner self is great to behold!
If saved by Christ, washed in his blood then brother, sister you are the righteousness of God and His workmanship in Christ Jesus, to do the works of God.
A clay jar you are with treasure within revealing that the excellency of power is of God and not of men.

Take heed to pay no attention to opinions that lead to destruction.
When some shun and reject you if they find your exterior wrapping unappealing,
it is true to say “a chance they have missed to be blessed by the treasure therein.”
Their blinded eyes deceiving them that they can see,
they live life in realms of superficiality rejecting the “skin deep” reality and end up drowning in a sea of frivolity.

God chose David to be Israel’s King not for his appearance but ’cause he was a man after God’s own heart.
Accept only the opinion of God who said “People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart (1)”,
and remember to “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life (2)”.
